Privacy Policy
We do not sell personal information, payment information, credentials, private communications, or identifiable client records. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it to provide the service.
Effective August 23, 2026
1. Who is responsible
Local Search Reset is operated by Nicholas Galbraith, a sole proprietor based in Michigan, United States. Questions or privacy requests may be sent through our contact page.
2. Information we collect
- Contact details such as your name, business name, email address, and any contact information you choose to provide.
- Business facts and listing information you submit, confirm, or authorize us to inspect for the service.
- Service records such as intake answers, approvals, requested corrections, work status, communications, and before-and-after documentation.
- Transaction details supplied by Stripe, such as payment status, amount, date, and transaction identifier. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Basic technical and security information that our website or service providers may process, such as IP address, browser information, timestamps, and logs.
Please do not provide account passwords or unnecessary sensitive personal information.
3. How we use information
- Receive, research, verify, and respond to free mini-audit requests.
- Provide, document, support, and improve the purchased service.
- Verify approved business facts and communicate about the project.
- Process payments, prevent fraud, maintain business records, and comply with legal or accounting duties.
- Protect our website, customers, systems, and legal rights.
Automated tools may help review public business information, prepare a mini audit, and queue verified results for email delivery. Contact details are kept separate from the audit analysis when they are not needed for that task. Material findings are checked against cited public sources; uncertain or ambiguous results are held for manual review instead of being represented as confirmed.
4. Optional de-identified research
With separate permission, we may convert limited service observations into de-identified research records and combine them with other records to produce statistics, benchmarks, trend analysis, commercial reports, or similar data products. Examples may include categories of listing errors, correction outcomes, or processing-time ranges.
Participation is optional. Purchasing the service or accepting the Terms of Service does not opt you in. Direct identifiers are kept out of the research dataset, and we do not identify a client, business, employee, or customer in a data product without separate written permission. You may withdraw permission for future use by contacting us; withdrawal cannot remove information from an aggregate report that was already produced and no longer identifies you.
5. When information is shared
We may provide necessary information to service providers that help us operate, including Stripe for payments and fraud prevention, email and productivity providers, website and database hosting providers, AI-assisted analysis providers, and professional advisers. They receive only the information reasonably needed for their role. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.
We do not sell the personal information described in this policy.
6. Retention and access removal
We retain identifiable service records only as long as reasonably needed to provide support, document the work, address disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, or accounting duties. Records that are no longer needed are deleted or de-identified. Properly de-identified and aggregated research may be retained longer because it no longer identifies the client.
Authorized platform access is removed after the included recheck where the platform allows it. We do not retain client passwords because we do not request them.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we maintain. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we also reduce risk by limiting collection and separating identifiable operational records from permitted research records.
8. Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information you provided, or withdraw optional research permission, through our contact page. We may retain limited information when required by law or reasonably necessary to document a transaction, resolve a dispute, or protect legal rights.
9. Children and policy changes
The service is intended for business representatives and is not directed to children. We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. Material changes apply prospectively and will be reflected by a revised effective date.
